Software update:
As the D4 is brand new and in full development new features and improvements will be added. New firmware versions will be available for download from these pages.
Updating your mixing desk is relatively simple:
- Switch the D4 mixing desk fully off, either with the switch on the back or disconnect the power.
- With a suitable USB cable connect the mixing desk to a computer.
- Push and hold down the lower rotary and switch on the power.
- Release the rotary.
- The computer will now recognize the D4 as an external folder (drive).
- Drag or copy the new binary file into this folder and wait until the file is transferred.
- Switch off and on the D4, the new version will now be active.
The version number is displayed in the start-up screen.
Please note: Before making any update write down all settings of the presets used. Yes, this is some work but necessary as often new functions are added.
Latest firmware:
Latest additions are the password protection of presets and the assignment of the digital outputs to any of the mixes. Also the audio level of the digital outputs can be adjusted over a 20 dB range.

The GPIO's are wired to DB25 connectors. In order to make the connections easier a breakout pcb with spring-clamps is available. This comes with a 1:1 25-way cable of approx 1 meter length.
This GB34 can be used with D3 or D4 digital mixing desks as well as with the EA963 GPIO extendere.
